The pregnancy consultation can help you and your partner to get ready for labor, birth, breastfeeding and caring for a newborn baby. Many people can learn from in-person or online classes. A consultation is one way to get the needed information, but on a 1:1 basis, allowing for privacy and giving you the time to ask any necessary questions.
The birth consultation can provide information on different aspects of labor and delivery and what to expect in the hospital setting. Techniques for pain releif can be reviewed so that you can try different techniques in labor. Other topics include information on c-sections and what to expect and how to create an environment that can help you.
The postpartum support consultation focuses on parents up to 12 weeks postpartum and provides parenting tips, tools and techniques to help parents become more confident and knowledgeable when caring for their baby. In addition, the postpartum consultation can help review the normal process of the body returning to the pre-pregnancy state and discomforts associated with it. Breast milk offer optimal nutrition to your growing baby. Our consultants provide education and information sessions for the whole family. From getting a head start on breastfeeding before your baby arrives to practice positing techniques, to addressing real time concerns with positioning and latching, sore/damaged nipples, supply issues, and discussing pumping and storing milk.
The newborn care consultation can cover topics ranging from working out what’s normal behavior for a newborn, to settling techniques, sleeping, and transitioning to the home setting and what to expect for the entire first year of baby’s life.
