There are many different birth classes that will help prepare you for labor and delivery. choosing the one that is right for you and your support person is essential.
Mindfulness-based childbirth education has gotten to become popular over the years. Such programs have also been called mindfulness based childbirth, mindful birthing and mindful based stress reduction for childbirth. These programs have been developed with the same guiding principles of other mindful-based stress reduction programs. The mindful-based childbirth education programs often included information on the physiological changes in pregnancy, meditation, yoga and home practices. Women are taught in the ways to use the mindfulness during pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. Other areas of these mindful programs include how to overcome or cope with anxiety and stress during the pregnancy period. These techniques learned are not strictly for the pregnancy and birthing period but also for the postpartum period when caring for a newborn.
